HTC could be the next manufacturer to join Google train to launch phones with Android One. And if the rumors are true, they will do with a version of HTC U11 Life.

HTC has not been doing well in recent months. The last thing we know about the Taiwanese manufacturer is that they would be looking buyer for the Live Real Estate Live division and thinking of selling their mobile division to Google. Nothing confirmed by HTC itself, but rumors paint a worrying situation for the company.

But maybe HTC wants to try again with a bet that manufacturers have already followed, such as Xiaomi or BQ . And it would by the hand of Android One Google's project to bring native Android to other branded phones.

The HTC U11 Life will have a version of Android One

New rumors have appeared on Twitter that point in that direction. LlabTooFeR, developer of ROMs MaximusHD, was the first to say. HTC Ocean_Life, the phone we know as HTC U11 Life, would be part of Android One and will come out with Android 8.0 Oreo .

In a chain of tweets comments that this HTC U11 Life will not have the majority of HTC applications although there is some trace of HTC Sense. To be precise, it will keep the edge-sensitive application (EdgeSense) or HTC's dedicated camera. The rest would be pure and hard Android, as was customary in the Android One project.

The subject becomes more interesting when Evan Blass the famous @evleaks, confirms this data . Also add the photo of the device you own on these lines. The photo would belong to the model with HTC Sense, not the model with Android One, although the design was the same as happened with the Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Xiaomi Mi 5X.

Possible functions of the HTC U11 Life

  • FullHD screen of 5.2 inches
  • Qualcomm Processor Snapdragon 630
  • 32 GB internal memory + microSD
