The European Huawei P10 and P10 Plus start testing Android 8

In the few days we stayed this year, it seems manufacturers have started a race to upgrade their phones, or at least the major ones, to the latest versions of Android.

Nothing was Nokia that started doing it in the new Nokia 6 2018 and we know that brands like Xiaomi also work on the updates of its emblematic 2017.

Huawei is another company that generally takes software into account in its models, and although it does not always update the most basic terminals (for performance reasons), the top of the range is often among the first to have OTA.

Huawei P10 and P10 Plus Europeans with Android 8 in beta

A few months ago, the company started testing the Oreo version of its software, which comes hand in hand with the EMUI 8, on the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus that were sold in the East . Thanks to the betas program in which the owners of these smartphones can register the terminals can receive the latest version of the system before they are published in a stable way.

Now, this same program arrives in Europe. Specifically, it is Huawei's Romanian subsidiary which allows Oreo Android 8.0 firmware installation on the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus .

It is a question of very little time that, also in other countries like Spain, we began to try this version of OTA. For this, we only have to go to the official support page of the company and download the apk that appears. Once installed, this will allow us to register in the testing process of the new software, although it is convenient to make backup copies beforehand.

We have contacted Huawei and as soon as they confirm that they are in testing in Spain, we will update the post.
