The PES Series Is Going To Change
The allegations made in the past days have turned out to be true. The name of the PES series will be changed to eFootball and the game will be played completely free of charge.
The PES Series Is Going To Change!
Announcing that it made a radical change in the series by publishing PES 2021 with a simple update, KONAMI finally made a very critical decision. Making permanent changes in the PES series, KONAMI has decided to end the legendary series. The new name of the series will be eFootball. However, the game will try a new strategy by switching to a free-to-play model.
Developed with the Unreal Engine 4 game engine, eFootball 2022 will also include the advantages of the game engine. eFootball 2022, which will have much more realistic animations with the Motion Matching system, will also include the Season Pass model. In this system, which is called the Match Pass system, you will be able to earn rewards by doing tasks.
Not forgetting the online modes that attracted attention in the PES series, KONAMI will also add these to the eFootball game. At the same time, PC, console and mobile players will be able to play with each other. Cross-console matches, local matches, and the game’s release are planned for the beginning of autumn. After the autumn, PC players will also be included in the cross platform match and the match pass system will be activated. The winter plan will be to launch e-sports tournaments and include mobile players in the system.
One of the most curious subjects was what would be the future of the game’s offline modes such as Master League and Become A Legend. KONAMI has made this clear as well. These offline mods will be sold separately as DLC. This decision was met with sadness by fans who love offline modes.
